James Mathew

James Mathew is the CEO & Managing Partner of UHY James Chartered Accountants, an independent member firm of UHY International in the UAE. He has almost years of experience in the audit and advisory space, and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as well as a certified member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) in Colorado, USA.

Prior to joining UHY James, James was associated with one of the top global accounting networks for nearly two decades, starting as a Senior Partner in and eventually becoming the Group CEO for UAE and Oman operations in . He also made history by being the first person from the region to be elected to the Global Board of a top accounting network in -.

At UHY James, James leads a team of partners and almost professionals across corporate and branch offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Fujairah. The firm provides a range of services including audit, assurance, tax, advisory, risk, and technology solutions to businesses across diverse sectors in the UAE.

James has held several eminent positions in various organizations in the UAE, such as being a Board Member of the first UAE Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE) in the Arab Region, an Independent Non-Executive Director of a leading healthcare group, and the Chairman of the Dubai Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has also served on the Board of Assessors of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Business Awards for consecutive years.
