EurAsia Gulf and Syrian Emirati Council for Entrepreneurs Lay Foundation for Powerful Economic Cooperation

EurAsia Gulf and Syrian Emirati Council for Entrepreneurs Lay Foundation for Powerful Economic Cooperation

DUBAI, UAE — On May 19, 2026, EurAsia Gulf, in strategic partnership with the Syrian Emirati Council for Entrepreneurs (SECB), hosted an extraordinary evening focused on building powerful economic bridges between the UAE and Syria. The high-level gathering opened doors for entrepreneurs, investors, and diplomats to unlock new potential across critical growth sectors, including infrastructure, renewable energy, and digital trade. This milestone forum marks a major step forward in regional cooperation, directly strengthening economic ties between Syria and the wider Gulf region—particularly the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

 The event highlighted Syria’s emerging transition into a robust gateway of opportunity, transformation, investment, and cross-border partnership. With a renewed focus on economic recovery, stability, and modernization, the region is actively creating a secure investment environment and restoring global confidence in Syria’s future role within the broader Middle Eastern economy. A major emphasis was placed on the opening of new chapters of institutional and international engagement between Syria, the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, CIS Countries, Türkiye, and the Gulf nations.

"Today, we are not simply discussing Syria as a country emerging from challenges. We are discussing Syria as a future gateway of opportunity, transformation, investment, and regional partnership," noted key leadership during the forum. "Syria occupies approximately 185,000 square kilometers and holds one of the most strategic geographic positions in the region. It uniquely connects the Gulf, the Mediterranean, Europe, and Asia through a single logistical and commercial corridor. Historically a center of trade and culture, Syria represents a major human capital opportunity with an estimated population of 23 million people, offering highly competitive operating and labor costs for manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, agriculture, and industrial production."

The distinguished gathering featured prominent insights from a panel of influential business leaders and diplomatic advisors driving fresh partnerships across the region:

  •  H.E. Aref Alabbar, Investor & Diplomatic Advisor, who shared deep strategic insights into navigating the regional macroeconomic landscape;
  • Ms. Mai Alghajari, President of the Syrian Emirati Council for Entrepreneurs (SECB), who highlighted the expanding framework for supporting bilateral entrepreneurship and regulatory confidence;
  • Mr. Abdo Kayali, Director General - GCC at EurAsia Gulf, who mapped out actionable corridors for integrating private enterprises into high-yield cross-border investments.

The forum provided an elite, direct networking platform, enabling global delegates to connect face-to-face with influential Syrian investors and business leaders driving the region's commercial revival.
