The state is located in the north of Western Asia, in the north-east of the Armenian Highlands. It has no access to the sea. It borders Azerbaijan to the east; Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, part of Azerbaijan, to the southwest; Iran to the south, Turkey to the west, and Georgia to the north.

The population of Armenia is 2,986,100 people, the territory is 29,743 km2.
The capital is Yerevan. The official language is Armenian.
A unitary state with a parliamentary form of government. It is divided into 10 regions and the city of Yerevan.
Almost 95% of the population professes Christianity.


Industry: An industrial and agricultural country with a dynamically developing economy.

The currency is the Armenian dram.
The independent of First Republic of Armenia was proclaimed on May 28, 1918
