A business mission to the UAE will be organized for Novgorod entrepreneurs
The Novgorod Export Support Center is organizing a business mission to the United Arab Emirates, Dubai. It will take place from 10 to 12 November. Entrepreneurs of the region interested in entering the Arab market can take part in it. This was reported in the Ministry of Investment of the region.
For entrepreneurs, before the trip, the export center will form a list of potential foreign trade partners, prepare recommendations on the specifics of doing business in the UAE (current requirements for the import and certification of products, trade barriers, etc.), organize negotiations with representatives of the local business community interested in buying Novgorod products. The center also undertakes the services of an interpreter and the organization of transfers within the country. Entrepreneurs will have to pay for travel and accommodation.
In 2019, the United Arab Emirates entered the list of the main trading partners of the Novgorod region. Then the export of the region to the UAE amounted to more than 84 million US dollars. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the volume of supplies of Novgorod products decreased slightly. The market of this Middle Eastern state is promising, but specific. It is not easy for an independent small and medium business to reach it. Participation in a business mission is the first step towards this. Colleagues from the export center will provide all-round support, – said Alexander Cherstvov, director of the department for the development of small and medium-sized businesses of the Ministry of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region.
